Alan Whitmore, Bm BCh, PhD

Alan is the CSO of Tangram Therapeutics. He leads our AI and R&D departments, bringing relentless curiosity to the hardest questions in biology. A clinician-scientist with more than 30 years of experience, he has bridged disciplines from biology to computer science to clinical medicine. Alan led development of Tangram’s foundational computational approaches and continues to advance the AI platform that powers discovery today. He has held research and clinical roles at UCL, The Jackson Laboratory, and University of Cambridge. He holds degrees in Biology and Computing, and a PhD from University of London and a medical degree from University of Oxford.
